Big Bike Challenge for Heart and Stroke Foundation

Fri. Sept. 2 at noon - Around campus and then BBQ at East Gate lawn
Ride a 29-seat bike and raise funds (need only $20 in pledges). Sign up to ride and/or meet riders for the BBQ at the end. More info here and tickets for BBQ at BookStore.

Instructor Melanie Peacock wins Professional Achievement Award

The Western Alumni Assoc. awarded professor Peacock the 2016 Professional Achievement Award for her contributions to her profession and community. Read more about this instructor from our human resources program, who also helped get program accreditation.

Student Roisin Dillon speaks at international research conferences

In her fourth year of nursing, Dillon shared her report titled "Success Variables of Social Media Campaigns as Donation Solicitation Strategies in the Nonprofit Sector" at a spring conference in New York and at the Congress in June.

Start of semester emails with Google Group sign up

As each semester begins (Aug./Sept.) (Dec./Jan.), areas with ongoing employee activites can send an email to employees describing the semester's activities. Employees can then opt in to a Google Group to get updates. Emails can be sent here. Get training on Google Groups by contacting vwinsor@mtroyal.ca or the Service Desk.
