This past spring, I had the chance again to witness a new group of grads cross the stage at Convocation. It strikes a chord with me when I think of the years of hard work, dedication, perseverance and even risks graduates take in order to achieve their academic milestone (not to mention seeing the proud grins and tight hugs between grads and their family/friends after the ceremony). The transformation from student to alumni is certainly not just a simple gesture of turning the tassel from right to left or an overnight success, and I feel truly privileged to share this monumental moment with our graduates.
As alumni, always remember the lessons you've learned at Mount Royal and know that we will continue to guide and support you in order for you to reach your full potential. We want to continue the celebration of your current and future successes long after Convocation. Keep in contact and share your journey with us.

Alumni Achievement Awards

Mount Royal University
Tickets: $40 for alumni, $50 for non-alumni

The Alumni Achievement Awards celebration is the Mount Royal alumni event of the year. The celebration is about recognizing all of our alumni's accomplishments and future potential through inspiration and entertainment.
 The evening will begin with cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and networking, followed by the announcement of the 2015 Alumni Achievement Award recipients in the new Bella Concert Hall. The celebration will conclude with a post event champagne and dessert reception.
All alumni are encouraged to attend. It's a fantastic opportunity for you to connect face to face with other alumni and the University community. Bring your friends and former classmates to what’s sure to be a premier celebratory evening.

Women in STEM: Video
Where's it STEM from? There's a lack of women enrolling in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) post-secondary programs across Canada. Mount Royal University takes aim at this nation-wide conundrum as a group of innovative faculty and alumnae carve away the stereotypes surrounding women’s roles in computer science, math and tech-startups.

Convocation 2015
We welcomed a new cohort of alumni to the MRUAA on June 4 & 5. This year there were four ceremonies and over 1500 graduates.
New alumna Robin Ferguson, was the winner of our MRU BookStore gift certificate for sharing her MRU Convocation photo with #MRUAlumniForLife.

Did you know? New grads get 50 per cent off memberships at MRU Recreation within one year after grad. All other alumni get 20 per cent off.
