Fall food for thought

Every year, around Thanksgiving, I look forward to enjoying my favourite dishes for the occasion, turkey, butternut squash soup and crème brûlée. Of course it's much more than just the food. Thanksgiving is about celebrating what we have and showing gratitude to people who have made a positive difference in our lives, those who have helped shape us and got us to where we are today.

At Mount Royal University, we are grateful to be connected to the Mount Royal alumni community. We often hear and are very proud of the accomplishments and impact our alumni make here in Calgary and around the world. This October, we would like to invite you to come back to where it all started and celebrate with us at A Royal Night featuring the Alumni Achievement Awards on Oct. 5 with food, drink and entertainment. We are also launching an Alumni Speaker Series to provide you with the opportunity to learn and reconnect with Mount Royal.

Alumni engagement opportunities
Volunteer for Open House Sat. Oct. 29!
One of the most common questions prospective students ask is "What can I do with my degree?"Wwho knows the answer to that question best? That's right, YOU - our alumni!

Share your story with prospective students so they can learn about what it's like to learn at Mount Royal student and what may await them after they graduate.

We'll set you up with faculty/staff reps from your program/area of study and give you the opportunity to talk to prospective students face to face.

By volunteering, you will be a true blue Mount Royal ambassador. It's a great way to connect with Mount Royal faculty, staff and alumni while giving back your time to future MRU students and future members of your alumni community.
