Last call! Deadline for nominating colleagues for Distinguished Awards —Each year the University celebrates the excellence and achievements of its employees with Distinguished Awards. Nominations are now being accepted for 2016. Forms are available from the Department of Human Resources; on the "P" drive under "Forms", "HR", "Distinguished Nomination Form"; or on our website. The deadline for submissions is Jan. 31.

Research and Scholarship Days call for abstracts deadlines Feb. 12 and Feb. 22 — The Office of Research, Scholarship and Community Engagement will be holding an exposition and celebration of faculty and student scholarship from March 21 to 24. Faculty can share their research in "Lightning Talks" and are asked to submit abstracts to present posters or Ignite-style five-minute presentations by Friday, Feb. 12. Please also encourage your students to submit abstracts for a poster and/or oral presentation by Monday, Feb.22. Learn more at research.mtroyal.ca/researchdays.

Living well at Mount Royal Starting Jan. 27 with #MRULetsTalk and continuing throughout February we are highlighting a number of programs focused on well-being and initiatives around topics such as mental health, dating violence, anti-bullying and peer to peer education. The aim is to implement a holistic approach to overall wellness at Mount Royal. There really is something for everyone to take advantage of or participate in!
Harry G. Schaeffer Mentorship program launched Jan. 12 Founded (2013) and run by Mount Royal’s Student Learning Services department, and beginning in 2013, the Harry G. Schaefer program is a testament to the outstanding mentorship and guidance provided by to the Calgary business community, and is available to all third and fourth year Mount Royal students.
